Terrible bracket
Compared to the original floodlight cam this one seems cheaply made. Seems like it’s 99% plastic now. Gone is all the metal parts including the bracket! I don’t even understand why they switched the bracket! There’s an inch clearance around after installation and you’re going to have to figure out a way to plug it to prevent water from getting in. Looks 8% more handsome than the original floodlight cam and can record in 2K but in my opinion, the video is just marginally better if that.

Helpful hint.
Ring is a superior product!! I’ve used other cameras and Ring by far is the easiest to set up. If the power goes off it reconnects flawlessly. The controller interface is robust and intuitive.
The one challenge I initially had was screwing in the tiny nut that connects the light to the base. I dropped a couple before I came up with a simple solution. Simply use a 1/4” socket with an extension. Hope this helps.

Camera was easy to install getting the power to it was a bit more complicated but being wired is superior in my opinion as it will always have power and don't have to worry about being un plugged

I always feel like somebody’s watching me!
Yes, she’s dirty because she gets lots of use. I do always feel like somebody’s watching me with the ring floodlight camera with the bird's eye view. The bird’s eye view is a must. I would not have it any other way. I feel like a falcon in the sky.

Simple, Easy and worth every penny!!
They could not make installation and connection any simpler! ( unless you have someone else do it for you! lol) This makes camera #8 for our home!
Are these cameras perfect?? No
Can you read a lic plate? No
But, you’re also not paying $500-1500 a camera ether!!
Improvements/ features I would like to see.
1. PTZ camera (they have the P & T. Just need the Z)
2. 4K camera to be able to capture more detail when you really need it!
3. Dome outside rated camera. Alternative mounting option.
