Better than the previous model, but not worth the cost.

Only bought this because our Ring doorbell of 3 years crapped out on us, and on our neighbor which was a weird coincidence. If you own any previous ring models, and you buy this one, you’ll have to do some touchups because the mounting points for the older models are wider (which I have another idea in mind as a backing plate so I left the old mounting points on top reuse them), also know you’ll have to install the chime kit it comes with into your existing doorbell house chime otherwise the ring doorbell will not work, OR you have to buy the Ring Chime itself. We have the best connection we could possibly get with our internet provider, the “4k” quality is definitely better and clearer than the previous models, but the “10x” zoom is bulls***, if you try doing it it’ll look like it’s Minecraft, straight pixelated.

Long overdue upgrade, but worth the wait.

Beautiful video, long overdue upgrade, and it looks better too. Easy swap from a Ring Pro 1 or 2 that the house came with (was dying from exposure), step by step instructions were cake including the chime add-on/integrator!

Great Ring Wired 4K Video Doorbell Camera!
Even though I don’t get the full 4K video quality because of my 39 devices of mostly smart home products on only 15000Mbps. (1.5Gbps.) with Xfinity XFi XB7 gateway on 3 of their 1 gen Boost Pods (WiFi Extenders) I only manage about 3.0-4.00Mbps but even at that low rate resolution it still is a lot better than its predecessor a Ring Video Doorbell Plus which has only 720p video quality or less. So I would recommend if you want to get this to first make sure you have at least 1.5Gbps: to 2Gbps. Internet speed plan and use the very best Wi-Fi Extenders especially that are true dual-band 2.4ghz. and 5.0ghz. With a through-put of at least 500-800Mbps. (Unlike my 200Mbps-1st Gen Extenders.)
